Rizwan leads Pakistan to highest successful run chase in World Cup against Sri Lanka

Mohammad Rizwan compiled a brilliant 131 not out off 121 balls as Pakistan created history, registering the highest successful run chase in men’s World Cup history. Set to chase 345 in match number eight of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan got home in 48.2 overs, with six wickets in hand. Apart from Rizwan, opener Abdullah Shafique, who came in for out-of-form Fakhar Zaman, also starred in the chase with 113 off 103 balls. Rizwan and Shafique added 176 runs for the third wicket to put Pakistan on course for creating history.
